Then again this is for a system that is somewhat old so i guess you could say they dont bother updating older systems. When I installed the RC1, the drivers were installed automatically.

Ifh8m-e Z87 Killer motherboard, mine was intel lpc controller 8c44, but I followed the same uch8m-e and went to the very bottom of intel at the very end its like Intel - Z87 LPC 8c44 and sure enough, the unknown device is gone, woohoo!
I had the same issue, following your manual install of the existing driver worked like a charm.
